FORMER BOARD CHAIRMAN OF GHANA MONUMENTS AND MUSUEMS DONATES TO AGAVEDZI VICTIMS

Former board chairman of Ghana Monuments and Mesuems, Mr. Kwame Sowu has donated relief items to displaced residents in communities affected by tidal wave. Presenting the items to the residents, he noted that the destruction by the sea has really affected businesses which has made residents left with nothing to live on According to him , seeing these residents going through this makes him sad hence the decision to come to.theor and with some relief items to help them for the meantime He however assured the residents of his commitment at anytime they call on him for any assistance and also hopes that the minister for works and housing , expedite action in the extension of the sea defense wall project soon Some of the items he donated are rice 15 bags, Omo 30 bags, soap 10 bags, pure water 500 bags, mosquito coil 10 packed, suga 7 bags, Gari 3 bags and a cash of 3000 CEDIs. Assembly man for the area ,Sylvester Kumawu thanked Mr Sowu for his kind gesture and called on government for an immediate solution to their aid. The Chief Fisherman of the area Mr Emmanuel Anumu Tetteh also was grateful for Mr Sowu's help and also commended the MCE for his efforts at making sure that issues are resolved The Director of Danquah Institute, Mr Richard Ahiagba expressed worry over how serious the issue was and promised government's commitment at solving the problem
MCE for the area, Elliot Edem Agbenorwu promised government's commitment at making sure that the sea defense wall project is extended to give relief to the people and also make them continue with their normal activities. Source:newsfileonline.com
